英文too和either兩字在意義上是有相似之處的，兩者都可作「也」字解。先來看以下兩個例句：
She goes to church, and I go to church too.
( 她有去做禮拜的習慣，我也一樣。)
You don’t go to church, and he doesn’t go to church either.
( 你沒有去做禮拜的習慣，他也一樣。)
由上述兩個例句也可知，too和either作「也」字解時，通常都放在句子的末尾。可學英文的人不能不知的是：在這種情況下，too一定是放在「肯定句」的末尾，either則是放在「否定句」的末尾。再來看以下兩個例句，應可增強記憶：
I am busy, and you are busy too.
( 我忙，你也忙。)
I don’t have time, and you don’t have time either.
( 我沒時間，你也沒時間。)
