這裡所謂的「不全是」，意思是「並非全部都是」，亦即「部分否定」。英文表達
「不全是」，常見方式至少有以下兩種：
一. 用not all：
Not all children are his students.
( 並非所有的孩童都是他的學生。)
Not all ladies are ladylike.
( 並非所有女人都是優雅的。)
注：ladylike在此當形容詞用，作「優雅的」解。
二. 用all---not---
All that glitters is not gold.
( 會閃亮的東西不全是金子。)
注：這是英國大文豪莎士比亞的一句名言。
All who write poems are not poets.
( 寫詩的人未必都是詩人。)
