國際知名女星安吉莉娜裘莉（Angelina Jolie）說過這麼一句話：
Honestly, I like everything, boyish girls, girlish boys, the heavy and the skinny.
（說真的，我什麼都喜歡，像男孩的女孩，像女孩的男孩，胖的人和瘦的人。）
她這句話令我產生了兩個聯想。
1. boyish（像男孩的）和girlish（像女孩的）的聯想：英文字尾-ish常出現在名詞後面，使之變成形容詞。例如：
babyish：孩子氣的；幼稚的。
foolish：愚笨的。
cowish：像牛似的；遲鈍的；膽小的。
2. the heavy（胖的人）和the skinny（瘦的人）的聯想：heavy和skinny這兩字本是形容詞，前面加了個the之後就變成名詞。例如：
the old：老人。
the young：年輕人。
